Template Sync
Briskine keeps your templates and account data in sync across all your devices and browsers. When you make any changes in the Briskine Dashboard, these are synchronized automatically.
How syncing works
Every browser where you use Briskine keeps its own local copy of your templates. That's what makes inserting a template instant, and it's also why a change can take a moment to reach your other browsers.
How soon you'll see a change depends on where it was made.
Changes you make in the Dashboard
While the Dashboard is open, the extension in that same browser picks up your changes almost immediately after you save them. You can insert the updated template right away.
Changes from your other browsers and devices
A template you create on your office computer won't show up on your laptop, or in a different browser, straight away. Each browser refreshes its own copy in the background from time to time.
To get your changes sooner, trigger a manual sync.
Changes made by your team
Templates that a team member creates, edits, or shares with you arrive the same way. If you don't have the Dashboard open in the browser you're working in, you'll get them on the next refresh, or as soon as you trigger a manual sync.
Manual sync
You can refresh the extension's copy of your templates yourself, at any time.
- Press the Briskine icon in your browser toolbar to open the popup.
- Press the green Sync button (the circular arrows icon). It turns yellow while syncing.
This pulls your templates, tags, and account settings from our servers again. The Sync button also shows when the last sync happened.
If you've just joined a team or been granted access to new shared templates, a manual sync is the quickest way to refresh your list.
